Step Two: Choose a Program
Once you have clarified your goals for your study abroad experience, it’s time to begin searching for a program. SDSU offers over 190 programs in 45 different countries, and there are thousands of additional program options to choose from. Here are a few suggestions to help guide your search:
- Attend a Study Abroad Information Session
- Look through the International Student Center’s Program Finder. You can search by country, major, or language of instructions. Note that there is a separate link to search for short-term programs.
- Meet with a study abroad advisor to narrow down your options and find a program that’s a good fit for you.
If you’re a student in the University Honors Program, the Liberal Studies major, or the Compact Scholars Program, contact Karey Sabol, your study abroad advisor, to schedule an appointment.
For all other students, contact the main study abroad advisors, located in the International Student Center, at (619) 594-2475.
- Meet with your major academic advisor (and minor, if applicable) to discuss how study abroad will fit in with your course requirements and required sequences.
